The Scepter Carbon Aluminum Ski Poles are the lightest poles Backcountry Access makes. BCA’s Scraper Grip allows you to easily push snow off your top sheet when breaking trail. This keeps you from dragging extra weight and saves your legs for when it matters most. Serves as a pole retention feature when skiing strapless. Grip includes a utility hook on the front side for flipping risers and boot buckles. Carbon upper shaft with sprayed on grip texture for the lightest choke-up grip possible.
Have not used it yet, so I can only say it is nice and lite, should nicely, be easier to carry on back country ski trips. The grips are indeed unique. Also may help with “skinning” and operating AT ski bindings without having to bend over. They say the handle will help keep snow off the top sheet of the ski, avoiding lifting wet snow stuck to the ski. Perhaps I should have bought a pole that breaks into 3 pieces as this not going to fit in any bag but a ski bag. I am not planning on…
