Nearly Perfect I purchased this item after an exhaustive search for a snowboard carrier. I use it to carry two snowboards on a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek. It attaches to the factory Subaru aero bars without issue, although I did need to tighten things occasionally. This was presumably due to a small amount of stretch in the mounts.The only problem that I have is with the notches in the latch. If I close the carriers to the tightest notch, I cannot turn the lock. If I loosen it one notch, I can turn…
Great product My experience with the Fat Cat rack was positive. I’ve owned Yakima racks for many years and they have always served me well. I liked the Fat Cat for being stream line design and serves it propose to secure skis and a board along with a fishing pole or two. It is easy to use and secures our items with no issues. These ski racks are great on my 2015 Subaru Outback. I wasn’t sure if they were compatible with my factory crossbars, but it turns out that they are. The best thing about these racks is how quiet they are. I can barely even tell they are on my car, even with skis loaded. Initial installation took about 10-15 minutes.
