Great helmet but issues with Smith’s size chart on this one To be fair, we love the helmet and in itself, its 5 stars all the way – the issue however is Smith’s sizing of the helmet. We own a number of helmets and we’re familiar with a variety of helmet types, including ski helmets. That said, we carefully measured our 7 year old daughter’s head and came up with 53 or 54 cm so the Medium seemed the obvious choice and a helmet size that she could grow into for years. Protect Those Little Noggins! Love this! Got XS for my almost 3 year old for skiing. She looks like a little pro! Fit is a little loose, but better than anything we tried at REI. She hasn’t fallen, but the helmet has never been too loose that it slips or slides off her head at all. And she refuses to wear a beanie underneath.
