Smart Decision / Cheap Plastic Body is Inaccurate it is a bad value but its a smart tool. you cannot set edges using a file bud, each manufacturer of skis/boards uses different base and egde angles, many of them like my Lines have 1/2 degree bevels – base is set at 0.5 and side is 1.5. You will destroy your edges by just using a file, you need to file at the precise angle of your skis/boards and you should look that up online before you attempt to sharpen base or side.Precise, this tool IS NOT. for the price though it should be…
Good edge tool. I got my edges super sharp and custom beveled with this thing. A few tips, some boards have recessed edges (i.e. Burton Canyon), for these you have to adjust the file so that only a couple mm stick out past the edge of the guide, then the file will contact only the base edge and not the p-tex. Get all the wax off your board first and check that it’s flat with a straight edge. You have to sand it up to 150-180 grit or get it stone ground if your base is concave near the edges, otherwise your…
