The Rossignol Pursuit 200 is a great ski for beginner and intermediate level skiers who prefer to spend their time on groomed terrain when out there on the slopes. The Pursuit collection is designed to maximize performance on firm snow conditions. This Pursuit 200 offers approachable performance for skiers who are still working on developing their technique and is also very suitable for experienced skiers who just prefer to casually cruise groomed terrain. Rossignol uses a full poplar wood core in this ski, which gives it good edge grip on firm snow, a nice stable feel from tip to tail, and performance that allows you to grow with the ski. It’s not overly stiff at first, but as you start to put more energy into your turns the ski will respond accordingly. That’s why Rossignol also includes carbon in the construction of the Pursuit 200. It gives it a little extra performance, but doesn’t have the same excess weight as heavier materials like metal laminates. It has a relatively short turn radius, which makes it a really fun ski to link turns on. It’s quick, responsive, and energetic without being overly challenging to ski or too stiff for skiers who are still learning.
