Easy to deploy and collapse using a 5 section design and a simple but robust flick-lock for adjustment on the go; the Vertex Aluminum poles are versatile and functional. Take them out when the going gets tough or put them away when stopping for a quick break.
The Vertex pole shafts are made from robust 7075 aluminum shafts, connectors and sleeves. Aluminum is strong, stable and very reliable, enabling a very high collapse point while maintaining a low weight. When using poles all day, you want them to be comfortable to hold, use and carry.
A long handle combining comfortable cork and EVA foam extension means comfort, firm grip and reduced friction on long days. Adjustable, lightly padded wrist straps ensure your poles will stay with you at all times and offer some relief for your hands in intense situations.
Vertex poles have a tungsten steel tip but also come with a rubber tip for road use, mud baskets for those off trail days and snow baskets so you don’t have to buy ski poles too. For easy storage, Vertex poles come with a mesh bag to keep all the mud off your gear.

Quality Control I bought these mainly for snowshoeing initially, but also intend to start using them for hiking as well. I really like the design, comfort, and weight of these poles. I would have given them a 5 star rating had I not had the problem that I had with one of the poles on its initial use. The crimped-on piece that keeps the cable from falling out must not have been correctly crimped from the factory, because it separated when I deployed the pole for it’s first use. Amazing in all areas-Must have for serious hikers These trekking/walking/hiking poles are awesome! They are highly adjustable for different height users as well as being able to dial in the length needed for going up and down hills. Lightweight and strong materials mean that we’ll be taking these on ALL our hikes (We’re doing Big Bend NP this spring and then the John Muir Trail this fall)! The price point is amazing for the quality (we’ve used just about every other brand out there and Cnoc is just as good if not better because of the price)…
